Free sewing tutorial and pattern and tutorial for making a burp cloth




Materials:
* Cotton 45 cm x 20 cm (8 inch x 18 inch) (front)
* Fleece or terry fabric 45 cm x 20 cm (8 inch x 18 inch) (back)

Instructions:
Download the free sewing pattern here. Set your printer settings to A4 paper.

Step 1: Draw the pattern.
Draw the pattern with an aqua trickmarker on the back of the cotton fabric and with tailors' chalk on the back of the fleece. The pattern is without seam allowance. Add 1 cm (5/8 inch) seam allowance.

Step 2: Cut the fabric.
Cut the pattern out of both fabrics.

Step 3: Pin down.
Pin down with right sides facing.

Step 4: Sew.
Sew along the outer edge. Leave a 5 cm (2 inch) opening for turning right-side out.

Step 5: Trim.
Trim.

Step 6: Turn right side out.
Turn right-side out.

Step 7: Topstitch.
Topstitch.
