When working with knits, it is important not to stretch or pull the fabric while sewing. Also use a stretch needle and a stretch stitch. In this pattern (nearly) all seams are sewed with a twin needle.

Step 1: Draw the pattern.
Print the sewing pattern in landscape mode at 100% on A4 paper or US Letter. Draw the pattern with an aqua trickmarker on the back of the fabric. The pattern is without seam allowance. Add 1 cm (5/8 inch) seam allowance. Draw the neckline and the sides of one bottom piece without seam allowance. Add 2 cm (1 inch) seam allowance to the upper part of the bottom piece.

Step 2: Cut the fabric.
Cut a front piece, a back piece and a bottom piece out of the fabric.
Step 3: Bottom piece
Fold the 2 cm (1 inch) seam allowance to the inside and pin down. Sew 1,5 cm (5/8 inch) from the outer edge. Trim.

Step 4: Sew bottom swimsuit.
With right sides facing pin down the back and front piece. Place the bottom piece right-side down on top. Sew. (Use a single needle)

Step 5: Sew the sides of the swimsuit.
With right sides facing pin down the back and front piece. Sew the sides of the swimsuit. Trim.

Step 6: Fold the seam allowance to the inside.
Fold the seam allowance of the leg holes to the inside and pin down.

Step 7: Sew leg holes.
Turn the swimsuit right side out. Sew leg holes about 1 cm (5/8 inch) from the outer edge. Trim.

Step 8: Sew neckband.
Turn right-side out. Cut a strip of fabric out of the swimsuit fabric (4,5 cm - 2 inch wide). Align the raw edges of the neckband with the raw edge of the neck opening, wrong sides together. Sew 1 cm (1/2 inch) from the outer edge. Stretch the neckband while you sew, but be careful not to stretch or pull the swimsuit.
Step 9: Sew neckband.
Fold the neckband over the cut edge, re-fold and pin down. Sew.
Step 10: Trim.
Trim.

Step 11: Sew straps.
Align the raw edges of the neckband with the raw edge of the neck opening, wrong sides together. Sew 1 cm (1/2 inch) from the outer edge. Stretch the neckband while you sew, but be careful not to stretch or pull the swimsuit.

Step 12: Sew straps.
Fold the neckband over the cut edge, re-fold and pin down. Sew.

Step 13: Attach straps.

Sew the straps onto the back of the swimsuit. (For the length of the straps, see pattern.) Put the swimsuit on. (The length of the straps depends on the stretch of the fabric). Trim.
