Free sewing pattern and tutorial Women's swimsuit


Materials:
* Swimsuit fabric (swimsuit) (My own fabric design)
* Swimsuit lining fabric in black or white (lining)

Instructions:
Download the free sewing pattern in size Small (A cup). Set your printer settings to A4 paper.

When working with knits, it is important not to stretch or pull the fabric while sewing. Also use a stretch needle and a stretch stitch. In this pattern (nearly) all seams are sewed with a twin needle.

Step 1: Draw the pattern.
Draw the back and front piece with an aqua trickmarker on the back of the swimsuit fabric. The pattern is without seam allowance. Add 1 cm (5/8 inch) seam allowance.

Draw a front piece on the back of the swimsuit lining fabric. Add 1 cm (5/8 inch) seam allowance. Draw the neckline, armholes and the leg holes without seam allowance. 

Step 2: Cut the fabric.
Cut a front piece (2x) and a back piece out of both fabrics.


Step 3: Place the back piece on top of the front piece.
Place the front piece right-side up on your work surface. Place the back piece right-side down on top.

Step 4: Sew the bottom of the swimsuit.
Place the swimsuit lining on top. Pin down. Sew together. Trim.


Step 5: Sew the sides of the swimsuit and the shoulder seams.
Fold the swimsuit lining to the front. With right sides facing pin down the back and both front pieces. Sew the sides of the swimsuit and the shoulder seams. Trim

Step 6: Fold the seam allowance to the inside.
Fold the seam allowance of the leg holes to the inside and pin down.

Step 7: Sew leg holes.
Turn the swimsuit right side out. Sew leg holes about 1 cm (5/8 inch) from the outer edge. Trim.
Step 8: Fold seam allowance to the inside.
Fold seam allowance of the neckline and the armholes to the inside and pin down.

Step 9: Sew.
Sew.
